Acetone Print | Urban Decay

This mixed media experiment was created for my Urban Decay coursework last year, where I portrayed 'Silence in the City' by photographing empty streets and signs. The original picture was influenced by Greogry Crewdson and his Twilight series involving photos showing almost apocalyptic situations. I interpreted this by photographing empty streets at night time without flash and setting the shutter speed to bulb. 

Once I gained that image I did an acetone print of it, by putting acetone on the back of the printed picture and transferring it on to my sketchbook page. I then repeated this process with a map that I scanned and printed out, over the top of the picture.
